Customs Tax, Duties
and Restrictions
to Turkey

Restricted items may enter Turkey only under specific conditions, permits, or inspection.

Common restricted items include:

- Electronics (may require TAREKS system registration)

- Cosmetics and food supplements (regulated by Turkish FDA equivalents)

- Telecommunication devices (subject to BTK registration and import tax)

- Plant-based products, seeds, or live plants (subject to phytosanitary approval)

- Books or publications (subject to cultural content review)

Always check with Turkish Customs or Gümrük ve Ticaret Bakanlığı for the latest requirements.

Prohibited items cannot be imported into Turkey under any circumstances.

These include:

- Narcotics and controlled substances

- Weapons, explosives, and military-grade items

- Pornographic materials or offensive media

- Counterfeit or pirated goods

- Hazardous chemicals and radioactive materials

- Used medical equipment
