Customs Tax, Duties
and Restrictions
to Germany

Restricted items require compliance with German and EU regulations, and in many cases, require licenses or approvals.

Common restricted items include:

- Medicines and health supplements (regulated by BfArM)

- Electronics (must meet CE marking requirements)

- Cosmetics and chemicals (regulated under REACH)

- Food and beverages (subject to German food safety law)

- Plants and seeds (require phytosanitary certificates)

Prohibited items are not allowed into Germany under any condition.

These include:

- Narcotics and controlled drugs

- Weapons, ammunition, and explosives

- Obscene or racist materials

- Counterfeit or pirated goods

- Endangered species or products made from them (CITES)

- Hazardous waste or radioactive substances
